Have been relaxing and taking it easy since the vacation. Which reminds me, have I delivered everyone's presents, and the postcards that Angie and I never got around to mailing? The vacation was excellent, except for an...interesting talk with Angie's dad. :) My sisters also found it hard to believe that the stunning French redhead was with me. *grin* Not to mention astonishment at the earring.

Well, it certainly looks like a chipmunk, anyway. I couldn't say whether it was a live chipmunk, or some weird telekinetic shaping of all the glass out there.

Doubt it. There's this whole set of glass chipmunk garden ornaments in one of the sheds, and I think Miles and Artie like playing with them.

Oh good. Lawn ornaments are good. Making lawn ornaments, not good.

I just had this awful image of this little chipmunk trying to run away as he turns into glass, and... no, not liking that. I like chipmunks. I don't want to kill chipmunks.

I could go out and check the actual spot if you want? Bet any chipmunks probably would've cleared out of there before things got that far, though, we don't feed the ones around here often enough for them to make the "humans=food" connection instead of the "humans=big scary weird-smelling thing" one.

I was down earlier getting a sample for Moira... she wants to figure out how I do that so that I can get it under control so I don't make lawn ornaments...

I just don't want to think that I killed anything. Besides the bushes. And quite a bit of grass. One of the trees was sort of glassy-looking, too... although it's still colored glass, which is really kind of funny.

Huh. Maybe, with the tree, you didn't turn all of it to glass? So there's a layer of clear glass, and you can see the rest of the tree through it? Or else the veins are still hollow, and sap's still getting forced up through them from the roots even if it can't get to the actual cells anymore, and then it's drying?
