Hey, everyone. I'm...back, I guess.

Seeing everyone at the party was...good. I'm sorry I wasn't very good company, and that I kinda bailed after a little while.

I see my roommate has ruthlessly pruned my MP3 playlist. Suppose it's a good idea, knowing how I am about emotionally connecting to songs. Hearing 'My Stupid Mouth' would...well...yeah.

I saw Doctor Samson today. I have some stuff I'm supposed to do before I see him again on Monday. I may need help with some of it.

I have decided that Alison, Jamie, and Angie are far better friends than I could ever deserve. Also, I have decreed that Angie is the Junior Devil Woman In Training.

I...I hope everyone's okay.

I have a new respect for the music industry's will to churn out love songs, depressing songs, and depressing love songs, though. :) But I put "Brother Love's Travelling Salvation Show" in there three times to help make up the space. And some of Artie's Muppet songs. And Bach. But not the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor. Only happy Bach for you, mister.

. . . Wow, I'm learning all kinds of stuff in music class.

Anything you need help with, man, you know you can ask.

Yeah. I know what you mean. And I probably have about half of it on my playlist, cuz I'm like that. And at least you got In The Buff's arrangement of "Brother Love's Traveling Salvation Show" in there to offset the two copies of Neil Diamond. :)

And with regards to the last...it's hard, but I'm trying. You know the same goes for you if you need any help, right? We're roomies, and we gotta stick together. Plus, I owe you huge for this past week.

Pff. You don't owe me anything. Besides, I like In the Buff as long as I'm not watching them half-naked on stage and thinking I really should have read the website a lot more carefully. :)

I know what you mean. I don't want to watch them half-naked on stage, but I do envy them a bit. Always wanted to go to CU and join ITB. Because, dude. Instant play. I dunno what it is about a cappella groups, but you have instant fangirls. It's crazy.

You think maybe it has something to do with the naked thing? Just a thought. :)

Maybe. I mean, it's not like they're all that good-looking, in general. Mostly kinda plain guys. But maybe watching guys strip on stage makes girls go all weird.

Think it'd work for me?

I think girls are just weird in general, if I may briefly be allowed to be ten again. ;) Sometimes they're really interesting kinds of weird, though.

. . . And what, the pants weren't enough already? :) Maybe you're just fishing in the wrong pond. You may not have been paying too much attention at the Quake today, but other people definitely were.

Yeah. Seconded on girls being weird.

Also, I don't think it's just the naked thing. I know of a cappella groups at other universities that _don't_ strip onstage, and they have groupies out the wazoo too.

And paying attention at Quake? Huh? You mean before or after I tried to keep myself from puking in the bathroom?

Ah. Musician thing, then. PCIF just isn't big enough yet to be in the underwear-flinging zone. :)

Before and after, actually, and--um, actually, can I tell you tomorrow? You're not the only one with homework from the Doc, apparently.

Yeah, apparently a musician thing. The way Guido tells it, he's got a collection of groupie underwear.

And...now you've got me curious. But yeah, if you've got homework from the Doc, I can wait. If you need any help on the homework, let me know? Cuz I'm going to need some help with mine.

Half of everything Guido says is exaggeration, and the rest he makes up, you haven't figured this out yet? :)

Curious is good. Curious is very good, in fact.

It would be very weird if you could help me with this bit of homework, but yeah, if there's anything later I'll grab you.

I said this in person a dozen times already, but I should put it in writing too.

You deserve every ounce of friendship you have.

Did Alison tell you about my evil plan starting Monday?

You'll probably have to keep reminding me, Angie. I have kind of a thick head. Especially where stuff like this is concerned. :-/

And yes, the Devil Woman told me about your evil plan. That is why I have dubbed you Junior Devil Woman In Training.

I'm being nice, honest. Just because I gave you a new nickname...

Please don't wall me up in there alone.

Welcome back. I'm glad your friends are taking care of you. I got your letter this morning and I'll reply to it soon. Thanks for sending it.

Thanks.

I think I'm glad too. I don't want to think about how things would have been without them. :-/

And you're welcome. I'm sorry I wussed out and didn't come talk to you in person, but it was a little easier to write it all down. Because with a letter I can go through twelve drafts before it sounds right.

Welcome back, mate. Let me know when you're feeling well enough - I owe you an afternoon out doing manly things, still.

Are there any good movies playing? We could make a day of it.

For the morning, because I should sleep in, I need the rest.

Doug, there is nothing you could ever do to be less than my friend.

hey Doug, glad to see you back!

if you want to borrow my "shiney happy people" CD you are welcome - it's nothing but happy music that I downloaded. I listen to it a lot sometimes, lots of Aqua and They Might Be Giants and other fun goodness.
