So, the project is pretty much done, and I have rejoined the real world. Sorry for having been so cranky over the past couple weeks. College classes require a lot more effort.

So, what does everyone else think about this blood drive in NYC and the Red Cross' announcement? I think it's fantastic, and I can't wait. Hope a lot of people turn out for it.

And, uh...does anyone know why Mr. Summers looks like he said mean things about Mike Tyson's mom?

Well, the way it works now, any dupe that donated blood would have to stick around not only until that unit of blood was used, but until it'd gotten replaced naturally by whoever it got put into. Otherwise there'd either be a nasty mess in the blood bank, or somebody'd be running around with a pint or two of decomposing blood in their veins, and I shudder to think.

Hey, though, Mr. Summers has been relaxed before. I mean, remember--no, wait, the amusement park trip last summer was before you got here, wasn't it?

Aye, I'm thinking you're right about only giving the normal amount. (And I've got to wonder, mightn't absorbing the dupes that had also given blood also leave you too far short? Or does it just average out?)

I asked about it, and I can't give blood at all here. At least, they said, not until they work out how to test for mad cow disease.

But I can help out and feed people, anyway.

I'm sure they can use every little bit of help they can get. It sounds like they're expecting a lot of people to turn out for this thing.
