*sigh* Waking up at ohmygodo'clock to drive out to a college campus and take classes bites the big one.

For those of you who haven't been following along, I Am Not A Morning Person. This means that when my girlfriend or anyone else comes in to try and wake me up before a decent hour (a decent hour is defined here as after 8 at the very least), I am _cranky_. And I am not very nice when I'm cranky.

That being said, the college classes themselves are pretty cool. I'm having fun with a high-level CS course. They weren't going to let me take it, but I got that all settled out. Plus, I'm taking a really interesting course on comparative languages and the roots of human language. The prof is a little fruity, but it's been fascinating so far.

Between that and my current giggling fit, today's been a pretty good day. Minus the early morning, natch.

Maybe I should share my stir fry with you. I'm glad I'm not the only one giddy to be back in classes. Ahh, my element again at last.

Can also share some tips on getting up in the morning successfully, if you need them? Otherwise, caffeine.

But as a singer, I tend to try and steer away from caffeine, as it can mess up your vocal range a bit over long periods of time. Besides, I'm a bard, darnit! I sing at _night_! None of this waking up before the sun crap! I'm not a farmer. ;-)

It depends on the bar. Some require you to be over 21 after a certain time, but some allow you in underage as long as you don't try to buy alcohol.

Agreed. CS before noon is an abomination.

Besides which, Doug, this is why one takes correspondance courses, to avoid the commute. Well, that and because I`m not even graduated yet, but still. I don`t know that it`d work for linguistics, but CS was practically designed to be able to be done without ever attending a class.
