Can't get away from homework...
Feb. 23rd, 2004 03:40 pm...I even get homework from Doctor Samson. *chuckle*
So I had my second session with Doctor Samson today. My homework from the first one was to make a list of ten reasons my friends like me. It was really really hard. I thought about asking for some help, but I wanted to try and get it done on my own. I managed to, but I think some of them sort of overlap.
Anyways, I...um...I was wondering if anyone would give me any reasons that they might like me. I kinda want to see if any of them are the same as the ones I put on my list. Also...it would help make it more real to me, I guess. I still have a hard time actually believing the reasons I put might be true. Plus, Doctor Samson says that I have to start justifying those reasons to myself. And that's even harder.
But at least, even though it's really hard, I think it's helping.

Date: 2004-02-23 08:54 pm (UTC)You're a genuinely nice guy, and that's a rare breed. You're exceptionally trustworthy - I never, ever feel a need to think "Ulterior motives?" when I'm around you, because it's just not a part of your character, and I trust you bloody well near implicitly. You tend to put others before yourself, which can be a bad thing sometimes, but it's endearing nonetheless. You're responsible, intelligent, loyal.. I could go on, but I should leave room for everybody else, I think.
Glad it's helping, Doug.

Date: 2004-02-23 09:00 pm (UTC)Plus, do you have any idea how hard it is finding people who can keep up with me in a prank war? Dude. We should do that again sometime.
And you pick up your side of the room, you don't blast weird music at all hours of the night, and you make fun of neither Hobbes nor my bed-head. You're a great roommate, and a better friend. Now go hide before Angie gets in here and pulls out her list, it's probably three feet long in two languages by now.

Date: 2004-02-23 09:55 pm (UTC)I trust you. I know you would never do anything to harm me, nor ask me for things I would not be willing to give.

Date: 2004-02-24 06:16 am (UTC)You can understand what I type here, a skill I highly value. You are a civil and genuinely polite person, qualities which are severely lacking at this school. And you do not judge anyone. These things make you a good person, and therefore a good friend.

Date: 2004-02-24 09:46 pm (UTC)So does how other people feel.
You don't laugh at me for wanting to do right.
You're always wanting to help people with things.
And you're pretty good at it.
You have a sense of humour.
You're kind.
You're polite.
You take responsibility for what you do, generally.
You sing well.
